CONGRATS! YOU JUST TOOK ANOTHER POSITIVE STEP TO THE HEALTHIEST YOU POSSIBLE IN 2019!

WHAT DO YOU DO NEXT?

One of the biggest benefits of running or walking is how little you need to spend or buy compared to other sports or fitness activities. All you really need is a good pair of supportive running shoes. 

1. For this Run/Walk program, however, you will also need a watch or a device with a timer or, even better, an interval timer for your workouts as they are precisely timed in walk/run intervals.

2. And if you don't already, you might want to consider buying a comfortable, supportive outfit (and bra if you are a female) to run and walk in. 

3. Again, optional: If you have problems with swelling in your feet or ankles or want to improve your running performance slightly, you might want to consider buying compression socks or leggings.

Note: You don't need to go out a buy a bunch of running gear, but I would encourage you to get the best pair of supportive shoes you can for comfort and to prevent injury. Nothing will make you dread going for a walk or run more than shoes that are uncomfortable or hurt your feet.

4. Go to the Beyond Basics Log In page (link at the bottom) and add it to your Home Screen on your phone so you don't have to look for the website when you need it. And so you will be reminded to do your workouts and of your commitment to run or walk 🙂

5. You can download the Beyond Basics Pro Trainer App at the bottom of the Login page or wait until I send you the log in info. Make sure I have your full name, phone number and your best email address for registration.

6. You will need the Beyond Basics website Log In page to access the web app so you can fill out the Run Walk Training Questionnaire and a health form. You might possibly need it for some other things.

The Beyond Basics Pro Trainer App that you will download from the Apple App Store or Google Play will be used for your workouts and most of your program delivery and communication with me, your coach.

Please return your Training Questionnaire and Waivers as soon as possible so I can program your Run or Walk workouts into your app.

YOUR FIRST WORKOUT SESSION WILL BE A TIMED WALK OR RUN to note how far you can go. This will be a marker for your progess and after I receive your results, I will place you in the best program for you.

Here is the link to Log into the Beyond Basics App via my website. This is the link you will want to add to the Home Screen on your phone.

At the bottom of the page you will find links to also download the Pro Trainer App to your phone from either the Apple App Store or Google Play.

(If you have an Apple device, the App will ask you if you want to change the branding to Beyond Basics branding. You will want to say "Yes".)

Note: My new, updated phone app is supposed to be ready for download in about 2 weeks. The new app should eliminate the need for the website app. I'm so excited! If you should continue training with Beyond Basics in the future you will have an even smoother experience.
